Why do I have a parse error on the last line of PHP/HTML code, and i din't forget to close a brace?

Parse errors generally result from missing terminators. So if you have
...
if($i<$some_count) {
...
}
$output_path = "blah"   (-->missing ";")
&EOF (End of File)
Notice that although the brace is closed, the statement is not terminated so the parser will continue reading through lines until it finds a terminator for that statement, that is why parse errors can appear to be on the last line of the file. Either it's a missing brace or terminator.
