Look at this page, where you can download the source and binaries for many different platforms: http://www.mysql.com/download_3.22.html =-=-=-=- newt begins: First, as the person above suggests, make sure you have a recent version of mysql (run this statement if you are not sure: 'find / - name "mysql" -print" -- it will show you a list of occurances of mysql on your system - be root if possible). I don't actually think that answers your question. What you are asking is not where to get mysql, but how to get support for mysql in php? If this is the case (and I'm not sure), then you might find the answer you are looking for at devshed. You must compile in support for mysql into php during installation. It is much more reliable than trying to set it up after you have installed php. Look at these urls: http://www.devshed.com/Server_Side/Administration/Database/ http://www.devshed.com/Server_Side/PHP/SoothinglySeamless/ They will tell you how to set up php and mysql. Remember, if you get confused, RTM. best, newt
