Can I use Javascript to check the encryption level of the browser?

ha mo, Colin Fraser, Tim Lockyear,
Yes and no. You may need to go into the Dark Side to get some esoteric
information on encryption from Microsoft themselves, This is the best
nswer I have found, and it does not even relate to IE.
However, in Netscape, try :
<script language="JavaScript"><!--
if (navigator.appName=="Netscape" ) {
enc = navigator.appVersion
if( enc.indexOf("U;")>0 || enc.indexOf("U)")>0 )
/* This implies a US version of the browser supporting 128 bit
encryption so place whatever code you want here */
else
/* else it's an "I" for International version which traditionally
does not support 128 bit encryption */
}
//--></script>
This is the best information I have been able to find and I ended up
looking at so many sites for that, which was not real helpful, I lost
track of where this came from.
Hope you get a better answer here
