Where can I find sample code?

The best place is on your own computer. Check out the projects in
/Developer/Examples/
Another good place is Apple's Developer site. They have a large amount of sample code for doing just about everything. Much of it is in Carbon but more and more of it is starting to show up as pure Cocoa.
