No. In ots most simple terms, Javascript works at a browser level, you are asking it to work at the operating system level, not a good idea... Andy: Ok, thanks a lot....looks like we're looking at installing a client side activeX control to do some work with the OS for us (we have control over most of the clients so this solution seems to be a reasonable one).
