Storing HTML tags in MySQL data

The question is a little vague as to the intented use of the tags, but 
here's a simple method:
update meesageoftheday set 
field1='<table><tr><td><b><message></td></tr></table>'
Then in your ASP, just
response.write replace(recordset1("field1"),"<message>","Hi There!")
