Is Apache necessary to be used with PHP4 under Win2000 Advanced Server(IIS enabled)?

Best idea would be to junk the IIS server completely and just use 
Apache. I use Apache as my web server on a Windows 98 platform with the 
ISAPI module version of PHP 4. It a reliable, fast and cost effective 
combination. It also allows me to use Perl's 'taint' mode in a cross-
platform compatible manner - something I can't do with the Microsoft 
offering.
