Out of the box, FreeTrade expects credit card payment only.  But it's 
easy to add other methods.  First, add a new record to the payment 
table.  That makes the option appear in the selector on the billing 
screen.  Next, edit SUBMIT_ORDER, the action module that validates the 
billing information.  If you want to accept both credit cards and 
another type of payment, add an if statement that looks at the method.  
If you won't want credit cards at all, rip out the code that deals with 
it.
BTW:
Other files that need to be modified, at least to remove credit cards 
for version 1.0.3 include:
order_express
SET_ORDER_INFO
order_info
order_billing
order_confirm
VALIDATE_ORDER
I suspect that to add new billing methods would also involve 
modifications to those files.
There may be more files to modify, as I have not done extensive testing 
yet.....
