Assuming you mean "how do I add, get, update an delete records froma
database with
XML" the answer is either with a custom gateway that you build (with a
SOAP server +
syntax) or a gateway provided by your Database vendor.
OpenLink Software (openlinksw), Oracle, I believe Microsoft, and some
other vendors
all offer various flavors of simple XML query-response, of course none
are compatible.
You may be interested to know that the W3C has proposed XQuery:
http://www.w3.org/TR/xquery/
Which is an XML query standard intended to replace SQL. We'll see.
I suggest that you explore creating your own gateway which serves your
needs with a
SOAP server - there's plenty of good PHP code out there to assist you
and you'll have
an easier time using the tools. Proprietary products are subject to the
whims of their
owners.
Good luck!
