How can I add fields to a table I've already created in MySQL?

To add a field in the existing table, you have to run this SQL 
statement.
The Format is:
ALTER TABLE <Table_Name> ADD <Field_Name> <Field_Type> (Limit of 
Characters or Digits)
For ex:
ALTER TABLE EMPLOYEE ADD COUNTRY_CODE VARCHAR (3);
