How can I view my processor speed?

Tjerk Valentijn, josh oshiro, ken vrunt,

reboot the computer and watch the screen for a bios message that 
indicates the system proccessor speed. While the system is running use 
top to see the cpu load percentages..
Or you could do
cat /proc/cpuinfo
