how to remove distance between cells of table in netscape 4.7

This is not really a javascript question, but a HTML one, try 
<table border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0> 
That will remove any space between cells. To make it over into a
javascript  question, you might try :
<script>
document.write("<table border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0>")
document.write("<tr><td> .....and so on</td><tr>")
document.write("</table>")
</script>
But this is a long way around to get somewhere.
