NN 7 vs IE 6: onkeypress differs

Do they? This, if you are correct, reflects the different methodologies
adopted by both companies towards implementation of Javascript. I am
sure that a standard exists for the onKeypress event, and you will find
answers in their respective commentaries. Netscape maintains
documentation at
http://www.netscape.com/eng/mozilla/3.0/handbook/javascript/
and if you want to go into the Dark Side then try
http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/author/dom/domoverview.asp
however, you may actually have more luck at :
http://www.wdvl.com/Authoring/DHTML/DOM/MS.html
However, I have not had a problem in implementing a cross browser
onKeypress event, so I am not sure why you may be. Try this as a simple
test:
<form>
<textarea onkeypress="javascript: alert('A key was pressed and
released')"></textarea>
</form>
This works for me.
