To add a link to a knowledge base click on the 'Manage Links' link.
The
resulting page contains the link 'Add new Link' and, if there are
already existing links associated with that folder, a listing of
current
links and the categories they are associated with.
Click on 'Add new Link' - the resulting page contains a form that
requires the following information:
- the knowledge base folder you wish to associate the link with, by
default it is set to the folder that you have just come from.
- the type of link that you wish to add. Categories include;
Articles,
Links, Tutorials, Instruction Sets, Documentation.
- the title of the link - try and keep it brief but meaningful.
- the URL the link is associated with.
Once you've added all this information hit the "confirm" button.
A confirmation page will load displaying the information you entered,
hit the "Save" button if you've entered it correctly and want to
proceed.
You'll then be taken to another page that provides a list of members
that will receive mail alerts as a result of you adding the link, and
a
link back to the 'Mangage Links' page and a link back to the add a new
link page.
