Jonathan de Boyne Pollard, http://qmail.org./qmail-1.03-mfcheck.3.patch http://homepages.tesco.net./~J.deBoynePollard/FGA/verisign-internet-coup.html#ConsequencesBypassAntiUBM
Nagy Balazs' patch will cause "qmail-smtpd" to perform DNS lookups against the domain name portion of the envelope sender mailbox name, and reject mail transactions where those lookups fail. However, note that Verisign's "*.com." and "*.net." wildcards did, and will again (when Verisign reinstates them, as is seeming increasingly likely at the time of writing this answer), entirely undermine this anti-UBM measure.
