Request is submitted twice in one version of IE and working fine in other. Why? how to control this?

I found the root cause of this issue. This is happening becuase of
“input type=’image’” tags. Two my ASP pages are using these tags to
submit the page with the help a javascript function on onclick event.
Now i changed these tags to “img”, the issue got resolved.
