I don't think backspace has an escape character, as it is inherently a deletion key on keyboards. Escape characters are not meant to represent every non-alphanumeric/symbol key on a keyboard, they are merely there for entities that cannot be expressed as text. Backspace is not something that can be represented, it just deletes.
