Is there anyway to take the fonts installed on a server and place them into the pages viewed by clients?

Not quite, but this might help:-

You can create fonts to be downloaded to the client
only IE right now, IIRC.
Netscape also supports downloaded fonts for use with CSS. Naturally, it 
uses a different format than IE's. See:
