Isn't prednisone a dangerous drag?

The short answer is that prednisone is a lousy drug, but pemphigus
is much much worse.  So you are now stuck with prednisone and other 
immunosuppressants that are usually given to Pemphigus patients,
and you will have to learn how to live with it.
"Coping with Prednisone" by Eugenia Zukerman and Julie Ingelfinger is a 
must for every Pemphigus patient, and for their families. You can get it 
in any large bookstore.
