How can I pause the execution of programme

You can pause execution of the program by calling wait method of any
currently executing object.
e.g.
class abc{
    public void wait(long millistowait)throws InterruptedException{
        wait(millistowait);
    }
}
there are other wait methods that take no parameters and micro seconds
besides millisecons.
