Can PHP ODBC access Database (IBM DB2 for example) that is on a different computer than Apache Web Server?

but how can i setup a DSN on my PC and pass it to the odbc_connect function?

how can i setup DSN on Linux?

I would like to use PHP to connect to DB2 on RedHat, what can i do?
