Escape sequences like \n and \t are not working. What actually is the purpose of escape sequences?

Simon Roberts, sony moparthi, Nathan Wallace,

Make sure you are using double-quotes around your string, and not
single quotes. The latter are not parsed for escapes and variables. In
any case, what are you expecting them to do? Remember that they won't
make any difference to HTML.
