Steps: Overview:
1. -Insert CD 1 of 2 '1999 Standard Edition'
2. -You should have Netscape installed on your computer,
otherwise it will not work
1. Goto the directory on CD1
D:\NETSCAPE\N32
2. Run the program
setup.exe
3. That will install 'Netscape Communicator' on
your computer
1. Press the button 'Next' several times,
to accept the defaults
3. -Install Encyclopaedia Britannica 1999
1. Insert CD 1 of 2 '1999 Standard Edition'
2. -This will start the installation wizard
3. -Click button 'Yes' to possibly accept
the licensing options
4. -Supply the serial number
5. -Click button 'Next'
1. Possibly select the folder where to install
6. -Click button 'Next'
1. Possibly select the program folder where to install
7. -The installation starts
8. -Click button 'Finish'
4. -Insert CD2 to start querying the
Encyclopaedia Britannica database
1. Double click on the 'Encyclopaedia Britannica'
icon on your desktop
2. The first time Netscape Navigator will ask you
to create a profile (you can just click the
'Next' button to accept the defaults)
3. A browser window will open in which to type your
queries.
e.g. 'Who is Napoleon?'
