howstuffworks.com boasts Marshalls Brains explanation on this very 
topic.  Most humans don't consider the value of a toilet, let alone how 
one works.  You are different.
toilets do more then just flush urine and fecal matter away.
toilets require more attention and love then the occasional plunge or 
not-often-enough wax ring replacement.
