What are PowWeb's POP and SMTP email servers?

Aug 29th, 2005 06:35
Karl Fry,

PowWeb has many different email servers, one of which was assigned to
your hosting package when you signed up. To find out which server
your email is hosted on, log into your OPS control panel at
http://ops.powweb.com - click on "Packages" at the top, then
the "Email" tab on the row beneath. Your mailserver will be listed on
this page and will look something like:
mail0X.powweb.com --> Where X is the number of your mailserver.
Note that if your registrar is pointing your domain at PowWeb's
nameservers, our DNS will automatically configure a 'mail' subdomain
for you, which serves as an alias to the PowWeb mailserver. So
instead of using PowWeb's server name as above, you can simply use:
mail.yourdomain.com
You will use the same server for both incoming (POP) and outgoing
(SMTP) mail.
