You should add you website to as many directories as possible. I have 
put one directory in the url spot above my reply here.
Also writing articles and submitting them to article archives that let 
users reprint them with a bio box is very good for your site.
Another way to promote your website, is to join forums in your niche 
and participate there.
Google Adsense can also help you drive traffic to your site, using 
this route you got to be careful when setting upo your campaign, 
always start bidding as low as possible.
I have tried buys bulk traffic before, but I have never had any luck 
with it, so I can not recommend that.
