How do I set up SMTP server on my Windows computer, and how do I configure PHP to send mail()?

You need to edit your php.ini. On the line SMTP = , you need to insert
the name of your smtp server, 127.0.0.1 will work in this case. If the
port of your SMTP server is not the default port 25, you can define it
using the smtp_port line in your php.ini file.
