Dipesh,
I presume you're talking about some kind of a DHTML Popup
display. Yes, the SELECT element (and the IFRAME element in some
browsers) cannot be covered by a DHTML Popup display. The reason is
because these are not really HTML elements but are borrowed from the
operating system and, therefore, have no z-index property which would
change their positioning in relationship to a DHTML Popup. The only
solution is to style.visibility="hidden" the "offending" element while
the DHTML Popup is being shown.
