What kind of function/class if the construct "(function() { ... })();" ?

Jeroen,
I'm not real clear on what you're asking.  The following represents 
what is referred to as an "anonymous" function.  However, it is still 
a function and has the attributes and properties of the Function() 
constructor class object.
    (function() { ... })();
