Biology is the study of living organisms and as such, it's one of the 
broadest subjects in science. It ranges in scale from the molecular, 
through the cellular and the whole organisms, to the ecosystem and 
biosphere. At Newcastle biology includes the study of animals, plants 
and microbes and gives you the chance to maintain breadth throughout 
your degree.
