KPO and BPO differ from each other in terms of their respective staffing
requirements. While BPO companies look for skilled professionals only
with process expertise, KPO services providers emphasize on skilled
professionals with domain expertise. Although the BPO industry has shown
substantial growth in the last ten years, but the global KPO industry
has been estimated to grow at much faster rate. For instance, while the
low-end outsourcing services have an expected Cumulative Annual Growth
Rate (CAGR) of 26% by 2010, the same for the global KPO industry is
expected to reach a Cumulative Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 46% by 2010.
