Are AJAX and SEO Incompatible?

Most webmasters are quite apprehensive of deploying AJAX in their
website development despite the definite advantages it offers. AJAX
which used Java Scripts substantially is considered to be
SEO-unfriendly. Hence, it is believed that the websites developed using
AJAX may lose out on the search engine ranking. However, there are ways
to prevent this problem. For instance, many webmasters create parallel
websites in order to satisfy the search engines as well as visitors.
Other methods such as rewriting the URL in form of fixed address to make
it indexable by search engines are also followed for this purpose.
Hence, AJAX and SEO are no more incompatible.
