Why are some pages classified as supplemental results in Google’s Index?

Google may have several reasons for classifying some webpages in its
supplemental indexing database. However, there are three reasons that
primarily decide if the webpages are to be put into the so-called Google
Hell. To begin with, if your pages are not properly optimized with
similar meta elements present in multiple pages, those pages are strong
contender for Google Hell. Besides, if you haven’t fed your webpages
with no content or very little content, then they are queued up for the
Google Hell. Finally, you haven’t linked the pages internally or
externally leaving them completely orphan, Google send them to its
supplemental indexing database.
