What are the advantages of RSS feeds over e-mails?

RSS feeds have a definitive edge over the traditional emails. To begin
with, they are unspammable – RSS feeds can not be sent to any person’s
mailbox with their prior subscription request for the same. Hence, only
those who are keen on receiving the RSS feeds can get the same through
newsletters or e-zines. Secondly, the subscribers won’t have to face any
problem in discontinuing the RSS feed subscription as they can do so
just by clicking the option available on the site from which they get
the subscription.  Finally, RSS feeds can not be infected with virus and
hence, people have no hesitation in subscribing to the RSS feeds through
newsletters and e-zines. This has created a huge potential for email
marketing also.
