The object of multiplayer 8-Ball is to pot either all the solid coloured group of balls (numbered 1-7), or all the striped balls (numbered 9-15), and then pot the black 8-Ball into a nominated pocket. The player to shoot first is decided at random. The choice of which group to go for (solids or stripes) is determined by the first potted ball of the game. Next to each player's name is an indicator that shows which group is being played. Once a player has cleared all the balls from their group, they must nominate a pocket in which they will attempt to pot the black 8-Ball. When the black has been potted, legally or illegally at any point, the round is over. If a player resigns or times out at any point then they lose the entire match.
