My animated gifs are too large!
How bring down my animated gif file size?

Keep in mind that an animated gif is really several images with a
display script. You need to design the images so that only the
information which changes is stored and this will keep your file sizes
at a minimum.
Lower your color depth. Remove all colors which aren't an essential
part of the image.
If the image order is a, b, c, d and the entire left side of the image
never changes then have the entire image in a only, and the right side
in b, c and d.
Try to reuse frames. If the frame order is a, b, c, d and d looks
just
like a then create the animated giff to go a, b, c, a thus reusing
image a instead of putting an identical image in the gif.
Also look at initial size of the image bunch
