You might look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/scripting/ Depending on what you prefer there is a VBScript an JScript Reference which might help. VBScript has the datediff function: DateDiff(interval, date1, date2 [,firstdayofweek[, firstweekofyear]]) you could calculate the difference between dateborn and datenow (interval is "yyyy" in that case) don't forgert to check if datenow is after DateBornThisYear
