How soon do I start planning for a wedding, is there some sort of time line or guide?

According to most wedding planners, Start planning about a year before 
the wedding date... And you should follow a time line. I resently got 
married and this time line I got from Weddings by the bay was a great 
help to me and my wife (now). Check it out, Im sure you'll find it
