‘Lifetime Prepaid 495′.
By introducing its popular Lifetime Prepaid for just Rs 495, Bharti
Airtel says it intends to further expand the market, and make mobile
services more affordable to its prepaid customers.
With ‘Lifetime Prepaid 495,’ Airtel prepaid subscribers will get free
incoming for life, and full talk time on all future recharges.
Besides, they can continue to enjoy lifetime validity benefits by using
a minimum of Rs 200 every 180 days.
Beginning tomorrow, ‘Lifetime Prepaid 495′ will be available to both
existing as well as new Airtel prepaid users. Existing users too can
avail the offer by recharging with Rs 495. Under ‘Lifetime Prepaid 495,’
existing lifetime prepaid tariffs would be applicable.
Launching the new service, Sanjay Kapoor, President of Mobile Services,
Bharti Airtel Limited, said, “Lifetime Prepaid is a revolutionary
concept that we had earlier introduced to the Indian mobile user. Our
495 Lifetime product is at an attractive price point, and it marks our
strategic intent to drive affordability and consumption in the prepaid
category further.”
Processing fees involved for ‘Lifetime Prepaid 495′ are Rs 430.55
approximately.

Idea Prepaid :
The new card offers twice the validity period than that currently
provided by most mobile service providers. It also offers 100 per cent
of the price of the card as talk value, subject to Rs 5 deduction per
day during the validity period.
IDEA Cellular is to introduce a mobile recharge service that can be
activated through SMS as well as through certain specified ATM networks.
Prepaid customers can recharge their accounts from wherever they are,
for flexible denominations between Rs 324 and Rs 10,800, said a news
release from the company.
To make use of this facility, the subscriber can send an SMS or enter
their mobile phone number at an ATM at banks that offer this service.
Euronet is the technology partner for this service and will be an
interface to all the banks offering this service.
The banks through which one can avail this facility are IDBI Bank, HDFC
Bank, Citibank, UTI Bank and State Bank of India and their associates.
This service will also shortly be available at ICICI Bank, Corporation
Bank, Development Credit Bank and Bank of Punjab.
Idea Postpaid : 
In an exclusive nationwide marketing alliance, India’s leading cellular
operator IDEA Cellular Ltd. and HDFC Bank, one of India’s leading
private sector banks, today launched a range of co-branded products.
Idea Cellular has tied up with Bharti Telesoft to launch a first of its
kind billing platform that allows subscribers to pay postpaid mobile
bills by sending a short message to a bank ATM. The billing platform
also allows subscribers to walk into any grocery shop selling Idea
mobile connections and pay the bills.
The facility, which is first of its kind in the world, allows
subscribers to pay their bills even while they are travelling abroad by
sending an SMS to a predetermined code number.
The single largest concern of the post-paid customer today is that he
must pay his bill on time to avoid disconnection of his mobile service.
The concern is more of when to go and pay the bill or how best to pay
it. Time is almost always the biggest hurdle to timely bill payment.
Keeping these considerations in mind, Idea Cellular has launched Pay
Easy, said Mr Nilanjan Mukherjee, Vice-President - Corporate Marketing,
Idea Cellular Ltd. The billing platform will increase Idea’s billing
outlets from 1,200 to over 10,000 across the country.
All the customer has to do is go to his neighbourhood retailer and pay
his bill amount. The retailer, using his flexi-charge system, will alert
the Idea payment gateway of the payment. Idea Cellular will then respond
to the retailer and the customer through an SMS receipt that thebill has
been paid. The service will be available across select retailers in the
first phase and then be available across the entire retail channel.
There will be no additional charge for the service. Earlier, customers
had to deposit their payments at specified centres. With the
introduction of Pay Easy, the payment points have increased over 50-fold.

Bharti Tele-Ventures Ltd., India’s leading private telecom conglomerate
today announced the completion of the amalgamation of Bharti Mobitel
Limited, a company running the mobile service operations in Kolkata with
Bharti Cellular Limited. Bharti Cellular Ltd., is a wholly owned
subsidiary of Bharti Tele-Ventures and holds license for providing
cellular mobile services in Delhi, Mumbai, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya

petition was filed in October 2002 before the Hon’ble High Court of

Bharti subsequently launched India’s largest mobile service brand,
AirTel, in Kolkata, in December 2001. Since then Bharti has expanded the

RIL Prepaid :
As an Independence Day special, Reliance Infocomm has announced a
reduction in the prepaid tariffs by about 60% on Reliance IndiaMobile,

Under this tariff structure, local and intra-circle calls from RIM
Prepaid to any Reliance India Mobile (Prepaid and Post Paid) and
Reliance India Phone (FWP/FWT) is reduced to Rs.0.99 (from Rs.2.49) and
to other GSM operators and landlines to Rs.1.79 (from Rs.2.49 ”
Rs.2.99). For a RIM user, the “Friends and Family” circle is extended to
a community of Reliance customers, soon touching the 1 crore mark,
enjoying the lowest mobile tariffs in the country.
All inter-circle calls from RIM prepaid to any RIM or FWP/FWT anywhere
in the country will now cost only Rs.1.79 (from Rs.2.99) and to other
GSM operators and landline, it will cost only Rs.2.49 (from Rs.2.99 ”
Rs.3.99).
Announcing the new RIM prepaid tariffs, SP Shukla, President, Wireless
Products and Services, Reliance Infocomm said, “All existing as well as
new RIM prepaid customers can avail of the new tariff benefits when they
recharge with a new prepaid voucher of Rs.325.”
The RIM Prepaid customer can also roam on home tariffs across India.
When roaming, out going calls will be charged at home tariff, whereas
incoming calls will be charged at Rs.1.79 per min. Voice mail retrieval
will be at reduced home tariff rates of Rs.0.99/minute.
RIM Prepaid customers with Java enabled handsets will be able to use
their phones as modems for R Connect Internet connectivity and will also
be able to access R World data applications even while roaming. RIM
Prepaid customers will also have access to 1234 SMS-based services and
call management services like three-way conference call and caller line
identification. It also offers a single toll free customer care access
number across the country with an option of 9 languages.
