Can I change the HUE or SATURATION of an image?

Hopefully, this question is in the wrong FAQ group. Simply put, the hue 
and saturation of an image canot be controlled by a JavaScript. Use an 
image editor, Jasc Paint Shop Pro is an excellent tool, cheap too, and 
considerably more user friendly for people who have no knowledge of how 
to use it than other, more powerful and better featured, tools like 
Photoshop. There are plenty of free tutorials and other information 
around for it too.
Edit: Have you seen ie4 light filters? Is saturation no more than a 
greyed image? If so, you could use transparancy with a div or span and 
a box of grey to do that.
