What should I do to redirect visitors to my new domain

The best way is to set up a 301 permanent redirect on the hosting
server. The Apache serves should use mod_rewrite in the .htaccess file
for redirection. They shouldn’t be using a 302 redirect because that
wont transfer the current reputation of the page gained through the
content and link density to the new website. 
If the original website has high traffic inflow through natural search
to its sub pages, and the new site has a different URL structure, then a
map should be set up at the page level to transfer the existing page
rank of the website to equivalent pages on the new site.
