How can I get the size of cols or rows in a frameset

Aug 25th, 2001 09:36
Tony Crosby, Thomas Rudolph,

If you are within the any of the frames of the parent document, then
you would want to use this,
window.top.document.body.rows
window.top.document.body.cols
If your page which is host to the frameset is also in a frameset, then
after window.top you would continue with the proper frame names to get
you to the host document of the frameset you're trying to read.
If you're on the same page as the frame set, this would still work but
so would
document.body.rows
document.body.cols
