Narendra Jain, Ted Ting,

The decision about a database depends on:
1. Various user requirements.
2. Needs of the user software package.
3. Capabilities of the softwares in which programming is done.
4. Capabilities of the database.
5. Size and growth factors of the database.
6. Usage / hit rate for the database.
MySQL is an excellent database for small to medium based requirements.
The only feature I have found missing with MySQL has been the nested
Select queries - which become quite critical in bigger packages. Though
there are ways out (workarounds) of this but this results in reduction
of speed.
Hope that helps...
