onbeforeUnload is not working on NS 6 any alternative for this?

There is no functional equivelant of the onbeforeunload event in NS6, 
it is an IE-only event. For further information, read

Note: it appears current versions of Gecko browsers (i.e. Firefox 1.5,
Mozilla 1.7.12) support this event.
