mario, mario, Rathindra Guha,
Read the manual of your compression program. The word you're looking for is "recursive", when you zip a folder and all subfolders. From the command line in unix environment type: man tar or man zip if you don't have zip try: man gzip And for the lazy: TAR: in Debian's GNU version of tar: tar -cvvf foo.tar foo/ tar contents of folder foo in foo.tar
