Is applet-javascript (LiveConnect) communciation possible in Netscape 6?

Liveconnect was not enabled in Netscape6.0 and Netscape6.1. The 
Netscape6.2 release notes say that its is only partially implmented in 
that version and some bugs wont be fixed until JDK1.4 is integrated 
into a later Netscape6.x version:
