Technology Artifact Profile (Template)

Apr 26th, 2001 13:12
Engineer TCSI,

Name: The name of the artifact.
Description:	What the artifact is or does.
Features:	An expansion of the description that tells why
                this artifact is of interest.
Which characteristics of this artifact make it
                worthwhile to use/reuse/peruse?
History:	Why was this artifact developed? When? By whom?
                Under what authority?
Status: To what degree is the artifact readily usable in new or
ongoing development? This section would include both
		technical and legal/commercial considerations.
Documentation:	Pathnames of documentation directories and/or of
                specific documents describing the artifact.
Code Location:	Pathnames of directories containing the source code.
Language:	The programming language(s) in which the artifact
                is implemented.
Dependencies:	Other software needed to successfully build or run the
		artifact.
Keywords:	Comma-separated list of topics under which this artifact
		profile should be found.
Parent: If the artifact is part of some larger artifact,
the name of the larger artifact (and a link to its
profile page, if available). E.g., the TSP Code
Generator is part of the TSP Product.
Notes: Other things worth noting, both about the artifact
itself and about its docs and code. This can include
wishlist items for further development, and anything
else that seems important but that didn't fit into the
                other headings.
Contributors should feel free to include suggestions
here for other standard headings in the profile.
