What's an easy way to cache a dynamic page as a static file?

You can use something like:
lynx -source http://www.mydomain.com/buildindex.php3 > index.html
in a cron job to update as often/seldom as you like...
where buildindex.php3 spits out the HTML for index.html
Often though PHP is fast enough as it is.  Try it and see.
