ha mo, Colin Fraser, Guy Morel,
You cannot completely delete the Histroy array. Why would you want to?
However, do this :
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"><!--
function myhistory(url) {
if (document.images)
location.replace(url);
else
location.href = url;
}
//--></SCRIPT>
in your header and
<A
HREF="javascript:myhistory('http://thisurl.com/gohere.htm')">Next
Place </A>
This should replace the current history.
If you want to get really fancy, open a new child window and close the
old parent window. That clears the history as the new window does not
have one. The issue here is to close the parent window without a popup
message saying that the parent window is closing.
If you want to access the history array, then you need to access the
browser priveleges, and that only works in Netscape, as far as I know.
IE does something different I think.
